     V     NICOMA PARK CHURCH OF CHRIST 

The Nicoma Park Church of Christ is a small, loving group of people.  The Church of Christ is people, not buildings.  We are from a diversity of race, occupations, and backgrounds.  Some of us are: 

• White/ Black/Brown/ Red/Yellow
• Construction workers/Teachers/Military/Stay-at-home moms/Students
• Young/Old/In-between
• Country/Metropolitan
• Mature/Babes in Christ
• Weak and Struggling/Strong and Sound

All of us have been sinners ¹ and all of us have been forgiven ² and are united ³ in obedience  to the gospel of Jesus Christ (i.e., simply being Christians ⁴).        ¹ Romans 3:23, ² Ephesians1:7-8, ³ Romans 6:4-5, ⁴ Acts 11:26  

The good news is Jesus Christ died for our sins ⁵, lives again to give us hope ⁶, and sits at the right hand of God serving as the only mediator between us in our weakness and God in His perfection⁷. ⁵ 1 Corinthians 15:3, Hebrews 9:15, 1 Peter 3:18; ⁶ Romans 14:9, Revelation 2:8; ⁷ Ephesians 1:20, Hebrews 1:3, 1 Timothy 2:5 

It is the perfection of Jesus Christ that sustains us and gives us freedom from sin.  If we had to depend upon our own goodness, we would be already condemned.  For Romans 3:10 tells us  "There is on one righteous, not even one"

We wear the name Church of Christ with pride; much like a bride wears the name of her husband and united, committed to his name and no other ⁹.               ⁹ Revelation 21:2 

We wear His name to signify we are a group of people belonging to and following Christ—following His teachings and no other ¹⁰.           ¹⁰ Matthew 19:4-6 

We are part of the church that Christ established, added by God in the same way and with the same obedience as the first century church.   

In a world a bit short on love, we love each other deeply, and we want to share that love with you also.
