V     OUR LEADERSHIP

   Elders

     The Nicoma Park Church of Christ is blessed with three mature, loving, and Bible knowledgeable spiritual overseers (referred to in the New Testament as bishops or elders).  Each congregation in the New Testament was set up autonomously with its own spiritual leadership.  The qualifications for this office are outlined in the New Testament, for example, in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.  This produces a highly horizontal organizational structure with Christ as the head of the church (Ephesians 5:23) and each congregation’s elders responsible directly to Him. It is highly efficient with less over-all organizational risk; many American businesses have adapted more horizontal structures in recent years for the same reason

OUR GOALS FOR THE FAMILY:

1) To preach and teach God’s Word with accuracy, power, and love. 

2) To sustain, support, and protect the family of God in Nicoma Park.

3) To develop and grow the family in knowledge, skills, and confidence in faith, improving preaching, teaching, and studying opportunities.

4) To save the lost.

5) To grow in numbers so this directory will need to soon be revised.

6) To continue to provide food pantry support to the community.

7) To increase love within the family. 

WE ENCOURAGE YOU:

1) To pray for the family, the lost, those with problems, the country, and us.

2) To greet as many members each assembly as you can, especially visitors.

3) To visit, call, send a card, or e-mail those asking for prayers, those having birthdays, anniversaries, or special events in their lives.

4) To notify us of errors or changes in the data in this directory.

5) To advise us of situations affecting members of the family that need our help.

6) To continually invite folks to our assemblies or to study the Bible with you.

7) To continue to grow in love and faith in Christ, protecting yourself from the growing evil of this world.

Deacons

     All members of the Nicoma Park Church of Christ are servants; however, we have appointed two  dedicated and hard working men to serve as deacons to assure the work of the church is accomplished in a timely and efficient manner, just like the congregations in the New Testament.  The special qualifications for this office are given in 1Timothy 3: 8-13.

     Begin preaching in 1971 and has served the Lord as a Minister for 37 years in Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma.  Presently serving the Nicoma Park Church of Christ as a full time minister.

Office Hours:  Tuesday—Friday (9AM to 4PM)

On call 24 hours per day.
